Everything happens within your monthly hours. We can do several things in one visit.

Good to know: This is help around the house. It is not personal care or medical care. We don't help with bathing, dressing, toileting, or medicine, and we don't provide nursing, 24-hour supervision, or emergency response. If you need that kind of care, you pick your own licensed provider, and we can help you apply. Help is scheduled ahead of time, and unused hours don't carry over.

Read the fine print

Moving out early: we refund any full months you haven't started. Extra help credit: it has no cash value, can't be given to someone else, and ends after your 90 days. It can only be used for extra help, not for housing, groceries, shopping, bus fare, medicine, outside services, or past-due bills.

Housing Contribution Review

Need help paying for housing?

Sometimes we can help cover part of the cost. It depends on the funds we have and your situation. Ask about it during your free review.

  1. Tell us about your situation and income.
  2. We check if help is available.
  3. We tell you your final monthly fee.

Asking doesn't guarantee help or a set amount.

Put it in perspective

What a month costs, side by side.

For adults who live independently and don't need daily personal or medical care, a full-care setting can mean paying for care you don't use. Here is how Bloom compares with Texas median costs.

Assisted living, Texas medianabout $5,600/monthPrivate one-bedroom unit
Nursing home, semi-private room, Texas medianabout $5,630/monthShared room
Bloom Signature · Tyler$875–$1,050/monthCompanion or private room, utilities and Wi-Fi included
Bloom Essentials · Tyler and surrounding areas$750–$850/monthCompanion or private room, utilities and Wi-Fi included

Texas figures are statewide medians from the CareScout 2025 Cost of Care Survey for Texas (released March 2026): assisted living $67,200 a year and a semi-private nursing home room $67,525 a year, divided by 12. Local prices vary by community. Bloom fees are starting rates; optional Household Support is billed separately.

With support added: a Bloom Essentials companion room ($750) plus Enhanced Household Support ($749) comes to about $1,499 a month. Household Support is help around the house, not a substitute for the care an assisted living community or nursing home provides.

An honest note: Bloom House Living is not assisted living or a nursing home, and our team doesn't provide hands-on personal care, medications, or nursing care. Residents who qualify can receive in-home services from a licensed provider they choose. If someone needs round-the-clock care, a licensed care setting is the right choice, and we're glad to help you think through options.

More than one home

If we're not the fit, we'll help you find one.

We work with referral partners across East Texas. If a Bloom home isn't the right fit, or a room isn't open when you need it, we'll help you look at other placement options instead of leaving you with a no.

Families, hospital and facility discharge planners, case managers, and supervising officers can all start with one call: 903-686-1804.

  1. Your home and room: which home, which room, and when you want to move in.
  2. How you will pay: benefits, family, programs, or help with the cost.
  3. Daily help: what you already handle and where help could make life easier.
  4. Your best fit: Housing Only, Household Support, Enhanced Support, or another next step.

Bloom House Living
Who runs these homes

Run locally, by people who know fixed incomes.

Bloom House Living is a collection of homes run by JDE Housing Solutions, a local East Texas company founded by Jessilyn Z. Edwards. Before housing, Jessilyn worked in healthcare benefits and insurance, including Medicare, Medicaid, and benefits navigation, so she knows how fixed incomes and paperwork really work. When you call, you reach the local team that runs the homes.

Questions

Good to know.

Is this a lease?

No. Residency is under a license-to-occupy agreement with written house rules, not a lease.

Are utilities included?

Yes. Electric, water, gas, and Wi-Fi are included in the monthly occupancy fee.

What's the difference between Essentials and Signature?

Both include a furnished room, utilities, and Wi-Fi. Signature homes have fewer residents and include common-area housekeeping.

What is the community fee?

A one-time community fee is due before move-in: $300 for Bloom Essentials and $650 for Bloom Signature. It covers getting your room ready and your move-in supplies.

Do I need to earn 2 to 3 times the monthly fee?

No. Many apartments ask for income of 2 to 3 times the monthly cost. We don't. Your income needs to cover your monthly occupancy fee, and we review every situation individually.

What if Bloom isn't the right fit?

We work with referral partners across East Texas and can help you look at other placement options.

Is Household Support required?

No. It's optional and billed separately from your room.

Can I get help with bathing, dressing, or other daily care?

Our team doesn't provide hands-on personal care. If you qualify for in-home attendant services through Medicaid or insurance, we'll help you apply, and you choose your own licensed provider.

Can a case manager start the process?

Yes. Case managers can call 903-686-1804 or email [email protected] for the Partner Referral & Triage form.
